What is neuropsychology and why would you be interested in us?
ADHD can often times share common traits with other disorders, including anxiety, depression, auditory processing disorders, or learning disorders.
The assessment of learning disorders by neuropsychologists differs from school psychologists in that a school psychologist’s job is to determine if a learning disorder exists and if that condition makes the child eligible for additional services and supports.
Neuropsychological assessment is a sub-specialty of psychology and is a field that requires additional training, education, and supervision beyond that of a clinical psychologist.
The staff and clinicians in our practice specialize in neuropsychological assessment and psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and adults.
Common reasons for seeking neuropsychological testing include Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia, childhood brain tumors or late-effects of cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and medical conditions, and traumatic brain injuries. Our staff offer a caring and holistic approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients and their families.
In addition to assessment services, we also offer individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
